On June 1, 2015, Portsmouth Business Association (PBA) President, John C. Farley, awarded two Portsmouth High School seniors each a $1,000 scholarship to pursue higher education. The recipients were Brianna Turcotte and Dylan Young. The recipients were chosen based upon their answers to questions asked on the PBA Scholarship nomination form.

Commenting on the award, PBA President John C. Farley stated: “The PBA hopes to help these two exceptional students achieve their career goals. As part of the Portsmouth community, the PBA aims to do all that it can to contribute to the success of our students.”

Each year, the PBA awards scholarships to two Portsmouth High School students. The PBA Scholarship is funded solely by the fundraising efforts of the PBA. The PBA’s annual 5K walk/run raises the funds for the scholarships. This year’s 5K will be held on September 26, 2015.

The Portsmouth Business Association (PBA) is a volunteer-based organization founded by members of the local business community in 1993. The PBA aims to create a positive business environment which benefits both its members and the community as a whole.
